Dr. Pastore accomplished his Internal Medicine training in the Thomas Jefferson Health System (Lankenau Hospital) and then trained in ocular surgery at the New Jersey Medical School located in Newark, NJ. (NJ's leading ocular trauma hospital). Dr. Pastore also completed academic training at New York City's famous Manhattan Eye and Ear Infirmary. It was as an ophthalmology resident that Dr. Pastore began his laser treatment experience and was among the first NJ physicians to be certified by VISX Excimer Laser Systems.
Dr. Pastore also serves as an instructor for eye physicians who are learning the art of laser corrective surgery. Currently, Dr. Pastore is Medical Director of the Main Line Vision and Laser Center, Director of the Alliance Eye Associates, and an affiliate doctor of the Wills Eye Surgical Network.
After graduating with honors, Dr. Haak completed a residency program in cornea, specialty contact lenses, and refractive surgery (LASIK) management at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia and TLC Laser Eye Centers. In addition to the practice of family eye care (adult, adolescent and pediatric), Dr. Haak specializes in custom and difficult fittings of contact lenses and glasses. Dr. Haak is a certified therapeutic optometric doctor.
Dr. Haak is a member of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. He also is an active participant in the Volunteer Optometric Service to Humanity (VOSH) and has completed several missions to the rainforests and highlands of Guatemala to provide eye care to those in the greatest need.
